Social Media for Sociable Media Folks
Since December 2010, I have worked as a municipal repoerter at The Record, covering five Bergen County municipalities and a regional school district. You can follow my tweets @BergenBeat2 and check our new Bergen Beat blog for updates.
Before comning to The Record, I spent a little over a year at the Jersey Journal covering everything Jersey City, including municipal government and happenings as well as Hudson County politics — the county Board of Freeholders calls Jersey City home.
Prior to that, I was a staff writer at the Burlington County Times for just over three years. While there I covered everything from the military, to municipal government, county government, the local state legislators and congressional representatives. I travelled to Washington D.C. with photographer Matt Stanley for Obama's inauguration.
I got my start with newspapers at the Rutgers Daily Targum and as an intern in The Record's Trenton Bureau. After graduating, I worked for a year at The South Brunswick Post and Cranbury Press: Monroe/Jamesburg edition, both owned by Packet Publications. I went on to be editor of The New Egypty Press (which Journal Register recently closed down) working for Media Hookup's creator Lou Hochman.
